BTS is set to make a grand return to the awards-show scene at the 52nd American Music Awards on May 25. The global K-pop sensation will be making a special appearance during the ceremony, marking their first major awards show attendance in four years. The announcement was made by the AMAs on Instagram, exciting fans and followers for the upcoming event.

Having already amassed 11 AMAs over the years, BTS is the second-most-awarded group in AMA history, trailing behind Alabama with 23 wins. Their relationship with the AMAs dates back to 2017 when they made history as the first Korean act to perform on the broadcast with their hit song "DNA." This year, the seven-member group is nominated for three awards, including artist of the year, song of the summer for "Swim," and best male K-pop artist.

BTS will be in Las Vegas as part of their extensive world tour, which kicked off with performances in Goyang and Tokyo before heading to the United States. The tour includes a stop in Tampa and four sold-out concerts at Allegiant Stadium starting on May 23. The ongoing tour will continue across various continents, including Asia, North America, Europe, Latin America, and Australia.

The 52nd American Music Awards will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be broadcast live coast-to-coast on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Queen Latifah is set to host the ceremony for the Memorial Day broadcast.
