Heroic Police Officer Saves Baby in Dramatic House Fire Rescue
A heart-stopping rescue took place in Kalamazoo as a police officer caught a baby in midair after a woman trapped on the top floor of a burning house threw the child down to safety. The officer arrived at the scene to find the house engulfed in flames and smoke, but he acted quickly to save the baby and help the woman escape. The dramatic rescue was captured on body camera footage released by the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety. The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation, but fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by KDPS. Crews had to remove parts of the roof and ceiling to extinguish the flames completely.
