Safest Cities in the United States: A Comprehensive Study by SmartAsset

When considering where to live, safety is a crucial factor to take into account. SmartAsset recently conducted a study to determine the safest cities in the United States. Factors such as natural disaster risk, traffic fatalities, and crime rates were considered in the analysis.

Broomfield, Colorado, emerged as the safest city in the study, with below-average crime rates, a modest rate of motor vehicle fatalities, and a very low natural disaster risk. Half of the top 10 cities on the list are located in Iowa, Indiana, or Wisconsin.

On the other end of the spectrum, Little Rock, Arkansas, ranked at the bottom of the list due to elevated tallies in all three categories. Cities like Pueblo, Colorado; North Little Rock, Arkansas; Birmingham, Alabama; and Tacoma, Washington, also ranked low in terms of safety.

The study also highlighted cities with the highest rates of violent crimes, property crimes, and auto fatalities. Kettering, Ohio, had the lowest rate of violent crimes, while Lehi, Utah, had the lowest property crime rate. California had the most cities on the list, followed by Texas.

Overall, the study provides valuable insights into the safety of different cities across the country. It is essential to consider these factors when making decisions about where to live for you and your family.
