The passengers, identified as Hayden Dillard, Seren Wilson, Brooke Skypala, and Stacy Hedrick, were members of a pickleball club heading to a tournament in New Braunfels. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) released a preliminary report stating that the crash occurred due to the plane breaking apart midair. Stormy weather was reported in the area on the night of the crash, with residents hearing unusual sounds before the tragic incident. Stacey Rohr, a nearby resident, described the terrifying experience of hearing buzzing noises and feeling her home shake when the plane crashed nearby.
