Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Takes on CIA: Demands Return of Declassified Files or Faces Subpoena

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Republican from Florida, has announced her intention to subpoena the CIA if the agency does not return boxes of files taken from the Director of National Intelligence's office. The files, which are said to contain information about the JFK assassination and the CIA's MK-Ultra program, were being prepared for declassification. Luna has given the CIA 24 hours to return the files to DNI Tulsi Gabbard or face a subpoena from Congress, which has requested access to these records.

Luna, who chairs the House Oversight Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, is leading a bipartisan effort to declassify files on various controversial topics, including UFOs, the assassinations of JFK, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr., as well as files related to Jeffrey Epstein. While some files have been released, none have definitively confirmed or debunked conspiracy theories surrounding these events.

The CIA's seizure of the files from Gabbard's office, while President Trump was out of the country, has raised concerns of an internal coup. Luna emphasized that the CIA does not have the authority to act against a presidential executive order. The MK-Ultra program, a Cold War-era initiative involving mind control experiments using torture and drugs like LSD, has been shrouded in secrecy and controversy since its exposure in the 1970s.

Participants in the MK-Ultra program, including notable figures like Allen Ginsberg and Ken Kesey, were subjected to unethical experiments without their consent. Allegations of involvement in the program have been made against individuals like Ted Kaczynski and Charles Manson, though the veracity of these claims remains uncertain. Many MK-Ultra files were destroyed in 1973 during the Watergate scandal, fueling speculation and conspiracy theories about the program's true nature.

In her efforts to uncover the truth behind these classified files, Luna is pushing for transparency and accountability within the intelligence community. The ongoing declassification process aims to shed light on historical events and controversial programs that have long been shrouded in secrecy. As the investigation continues, Luna remains committed to ensuring that the American public has access to the information they deserve.
