Experience the Beauty and Excitement of the 128th Rochester Lilac Festival!
The Rochester Lilac Festival is set to return to Highland Park for its 128th year, expecting over 500,000 guests from various regions. The festival will run from May 8 to May 17, opening daily at 10:30 a.m. and closing at 8:30 p.m. Guests under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is at least 21 years old with a valid ID. The Main Lot on Elmwood Avenue is recommended for parking, with rates varying between weekdays and weekends. A handicapped lot is available at 1440 South Avenue, requiring a handicapped tag for entry.
Guests are permitted to bring items such as blankets, strollers, and small bags, while prohibited items include pets, coolers, and outside food and beverages. The festival schedule includes various performances on the KeyBank Center Stage, with the start times to be announced. A new addition this year is The Lilac Table – A Tasting Collective, offering tastings from local food and beverage providers. The Kidz’ Zone and Sensory Space provide entertainment for children and a sensory-friendly break, respectively.
The Rochester Lilac Festival Parade is scheduled for May 9, with applications to participate due by March 31, 2026. Art in the Park and Small Business Circle will be held on weekends, featuring nature-inspired art and small business vendors. The Lilac Local Farmers Market will run from May 11-13, showcasing products from local farmers, makers, and artisans. Seniors Day on May 13 will offer special activities and amenities for seniors, including lunch specials and curated music.
The festival will conclude with the Lilac Run on May 17, featuring a 5K and 10K race across Highland Park. Participants can run, walk, or dance to the finish line and receive a shirt, medal, and snacks. The Tim Hortons Timbits Trot, a one-mile race with a Timbit stop, will follow the main races.
