Fairview Homicide Investigation: Missing Teen Found in Gatlinburg
The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a homicide after responding to a welfare check on Ashworth Drive in Fairview. Upon arrival, three individuals were found deceased in the residence. Detectives have determined that a 16-year-old girl who resides at the home is missing and was later located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, accompanied by a man. Sheriff’s office detectives are en route to Tennessee to further investigate the situation. The investigation is ongoing, and there is no threat to the public. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Gatlinburg Police Department are assisting in the case.
