Tragic Homicide Investigation in Plant City: Seeking Public Assistance
A tragic incident involving a homicide with multiple victims, including two young children, is currently under investigation by the Plant City Police Department. The incident occurred at two different locations within the city. Officers responded to a disturbance on May 3, 2026, at the 300 block of West Tever Street, where they found four individuals. A 4-month-old infant and a 4-year-old child had been shot and were pronounced dead at the scene. The children's 28-year-old mother was also found injured and later passed away at a local hospital. Another child present was unharmed.
Further investigation led detectives to a second scene at the 900 block of North Burton Street, where the 55-year-old mother of the 28-year-old woman was discovered deceased from a gunshot wound. The police are seeking public assistance in uncovering more details about the incident. They believe that some individuals moved between the North Burton Street and West Tever Street locations during the early morning hours of May 3, 2026. Residents and businesses in the area are encouraged to review surveillance footage from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on that day, particularly looking for a woman with three young children in the vicinity.
