A shooting incident occurred at a gathering known as "Sunday Funday" near Oklahoma City, resulting in 12 individuals being hospitalized. The incident took place close to Arcadia Lake, a popular destination for outdoor activities. Law enforcement responded to reports of gunfire around 9 p.m. on Sunday. The Edmond Police Department is actively investigating the incident and seeking the suspects involved in the shooting.

The attendees at the Sunday Funday party were described as young adults, although their ages have not been disclosed by the authorities. According to reports, two individuals wearing ski masks opened fire at the gathering. No arrests have been made yet, and authorities are analyzing footage from Flock license plate reader cameras to identify the perpetrators. Multiple individuals were transported to nearby hospitals, with their conditions varying.

Some victims reportedly sought medical assistance on their own, including one individual who drove to a nearby OnCue convenience store for help. Medical personnel continued to evaluate the patients late into the night. Nine individuals were taken to Integris Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, while three others were transported to Integris Health Edmond Hospital. Various law enforcement agencies, including the Edmond Police Department, Oklahoma City Police, Edmond Fire Department, and Oklahoma Highway Patrol, responded to the scene to assist.

Despite the alarming incident, authorities have stated that there is no immediate threat to the public. Arcadia Lake, where the shooting occurred, is a popular spot for fishing and boating activities, located north of Oklahoma City.
