Teenage Girls from Kolkata Tracked Down After Unauthorized Trip to BTS Concert in Seoul: A Story of Music's Influence

The West Bengal Police successfully located four teenage girls from Kolkata who had left their homes without informing their families to attend a concert of the popular K-Pop band BTS in Seoul, South Korea. The girls, all 15 years old and in Class 9, went missing on April 21, prompting a police complaint and a search operation. They were tracked to Delhi, where they had checked into a budget hotel after running out of money. With the help of CCTV footage and digital traces, the police managed to locate and bring them back to Kolkata on April 29.

The students' fascination with BTS led them to embark on this unauthorized trip, highlighting the influence of music on young minds. The police are providing counseling to help the girls recover from their mental state and ensure their well-being. This incident echoes a similar case in 2023 when three teenage girls from Murshidabad attempted to travel to Seoul to meet BTS, emphasizing the band's global appeal and impact on fans worldwide.

BTS, a renowned Korean pop group, has gained immense popularity for their diverse music styles, including hip-hop, rhythm and blues, and electronic dance music. Comprising seven members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, BTS continues to captivate audiences with their music and performances.
