Jamal Henderson Shines as Jermaine Jackson in 'Michael': A Tribute to HBCU Excellence

The movie "Michael" is directed by a former HBCU alumnus and features Tennessee State alumnus Jamal Henderson playing Jermaine Jackson. Henderson, a proud representative of his HBCU, credits Tennessee State for teaching him independence and self-reliance, which prepared him for his role in the film. To embody Jermaine, Henderson dedicated months to studying Jackson's mannerisms and even took bass guitar lessons. His performances with Jaafar Jackson were memorable, with a standout moment being Jaafar's rehearsal of "Billie Jean." Henderson worked hard to ensure he lived up to the project's expectations and not let anyone down. Director Antoine Fuqua, also with HBCU ties, was part of the creation of the "Michael" movie, now in theaters.
