A tragic incident occurred in Amarillo, Texas, resulting in one fatality and nine individuals sustaining injuries in an overnight shooting. The incident took place at the Westminster Apartments on Coulter Street and Westgate Pkwy around 2 a.m. Law enforcement responded to the scene following reports of gunfire. ABC 7 News photojournalist Steve Douglass, who resides nearby, was awakened by the sound of rapid gunfire. Tragically, a male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while nine others were transported to the hospital, with five in critical condition.
