A tragic incident occurred in the Wimberley area as a small plane crashed late Thursday night, resulting in the loss of five lives. Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra confirmed the emergency response to reports of an aircraft down near Wimberley at around 11:05 p.m. The Cessna 421C plane had five occupants on board, all of whom tragically perished in the crash. Emergency services were present at the crash site throughout the morning to address the situation. Initial reports suggest that the plane was flying at a high speed during the impact, with no signs of a mid-air collision. Another aircraft in the vicinity managed to land safely in New Braunfels.
