Bizarre Yacht Trespassing Incident: Man Arrested in Miami Claiming to Hold Yacht for President Trump

A man was arrested in Miami for trespassing on a yacht and claiming he was holding it for President Donald Trump. The incident, captured on bodycam video by the Miami Police Department, occurred on April 22 at a dock on Northwest North River Drive. The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Terry Roberts, boarded the yacht and insisted he had permission from Trump, although the real owner denied knowing him or granting access.

In the video, Roberts can be heard telling officers that he was holding the boat for a friend and claimed that Trump was the actual owner. Despite officers' attempts to reason with him, Roberts refused to leave, citing maritime law and his status as a U.S. Army veteran protecting Trump's property. Police called for marine patrol assistance as Roberts continued to resist their orders.

After multiple refusals to comply, officers proceeded to arrest Roberts, who was checked for weapons and taken into custody. Subsequent investigation revealed damage to a bedroom door on the yacht, estimated at $3,000 for repairs, and missing keys. The keys were found in Roberts' possession during a search conducted by the authorities.

Roberts now faces a range of charges, including burglary, grand theft of a vehicle, resisting an officer without violence, petty theft, and criminal mischief exceeding $1,000. The arrest serves as a reminder of the consequences of trespassing and unauthorized access to private property, regardless of the individual's claims or intentions.
