Grande Blooms: A Look at Ariana Grande's Upcoming Album 'petal

Ariana Grande has recently announced her upcoming eighth studio album, titled "petal," which is scheduled for release on July 31 through Republic Records. The announcement was made on Grande's Instagram account, where she shared a black-and-white portrait that serves as the album's cover art. This new visual aesthetic marks a departure from her previous high-concept visuals seen in albums like "Sweetener" and "Eternal Sunshine."

The album "petal" is a collaborative effort between Grande and her longtime collaborator Ilya Salmanzadeh, also known as ILYA, a Swedish-Persian producer. Salmanzadeh has been working with Grande since her 2014 hit "Problem" and was a key producer on her 2024 album "Eternal Sunshine." Grande described "petal" as a project that embodies growth and life, emerging from challenging circumstances, a theme she hinted at in a studio video posted on April 18.

With 12 tracks listed on the album's Spotify countdown page, "petal" is now available for pre-order in various formats, including digital, LP, CD, and cassette. The album release coincides with Grande's ongoing Eternal Sunshine Tour, which began on June 6 in Oakland, California, and will conclude on Sept. 1 in London. Grande's previous album, "Eternal Sunshine," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned two Hot 100 chart-topping singles, "yes, and?" and "we can't be friends (wait for your love)."

While a lead single from "petal" has not been announced yet, fans can anticipate new music and a fresh artistic direction from Ariana Grande with the release of her upcoming album.
