Iconic 'Smooth Criminal' Michael Jackson Action Figure Set for Release Amid 'Michael' Biopic Success

A new highly detailed action figure of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, is set to be released as the biopic "Michael" gains popularity in theaters. The film, starring Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson's nephew, has exceeded box office expectations, projected to earn over $217 million globally. Despite mixed reviews from critics, the movie follows Michael Jackson's journey from a young singer in The Jackson 5 to his adult success with hit albums like "Off the Wall," "Thriller," and "Bad."
The action figure, produced by Damtoys Collectibles, features Jackson in his iconic "Smooth Criminal" music video look from 1988. Available in 1:6 scale, the figure captures Jackson's style from the video, complete with accessories like a base, a mini Wurlitzer Jukebox, and interchangeable hands. Fans can pre-order the figure through Sideshow Collectibles, with two versions available: a standard release for $520 and a deluxe release for $610, both expected to ship between April and June 2026.
Each version of the action figure includes Jackson's outfit from the "Smooth Criminal" video, including a white jacket, pants, suspenders, fedora, shirt, tie, socks, and shoes. The figure also comes with a custom body, a rooted hair head sculpt with movable eyes, a microphone, a coin prop, U.S. dollar props, and two pairs of shoes for the iconic "anti-gravity lean" pose. The deluxe version includes a diorama base for displaying the miniature Wurlitzer Jukebox.
As fans await the release of the action figure, they can enjoy watching Michael Jackson in the original "Smooth Criminal" music video. Meanwhile, "Michael" continues to attract audiences in theaters worldwide, showcasing the enduring legacy of the King of Pop.
