Carbon Fire Prompts Evacuation Alerts in Unincorporated Brea Area
Evacuation alerts were issued on Saturday afternoon following the outbreak of a brush fire in an unincorporated region of Brea. The Carbon Fire ignited around 1:30 p.m. near Carbon Canyon and Olinda Place close to Carbon Canyon Regional Park, as reported by the Orange County Fire Authority. The fire, currently spanning approximately 5 acres, led authorities to issue evacuation warnings for Hollydale Mobile Home Park and Olinda Village. The public is urged to steer clear of the area until further updates. Due to the firefighting efforts, Carbon Canyon Road has been shut down between Ruby Drive and Break Hills Avenue.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
