Taylor Swift's success comes after the release of her 12th studio album, The Life Of A Showgirl, which topped the UK charts and was the best-selling global album of 2025. She also gained control of her back catalogue and released the single "Opalite," inspired by her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce. Bad Bunny, also known as Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, led the most-streamed albums list with his 2022 record Un Verano Sin Ti, making history at the Grammys and headlining the Super Bowl half-time show.
Following Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Drake, and Ariana Grande secured top spots as the most-streamed artists. The Weeknd dominated the most-streamed albums list with multiple entries, including Starboy, After Hours, and Beauty Behind the Madness. Ed Sheeran's Divide Deluxe album and Olivia Rodrigo's debut studio album Sour also made it to the top five. In terms of singles, The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" topped the list, followed by hits like Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You" and Harry Styles's "As It Was."
Apart from music, The Joe Rogan Experience was named the most-streamed podcast, and Sarah J Maas's novel A Court of Thorns and Roses became the most-streamed audiobook on Spotify Premium.
