Spotify Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Taylor Swift as Most-Streamed Artist and Bad Bunny's Album as Top Streamed

Taylor Swift has been named the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify, as the streaming service celebrates its 20th anniversary by releasing new charts highlighting its top artists, albums, and songs. Bad Bunny's album "Un Verano Sin Ti" holds the title of the most-streamed album on Spotify, while The Weeknd's song "Blinding Lights" is the most-streamed track. Following Swift on the artist chart are Bad Bunny, Drake, The Weeknd, and Ariana Grande, among others.

The top albums on Spotify include The Weeknd's "Starboy" and "After Hours," Ed Sheeran's "รท," and Olivia Rodrigo's "Sour." The Weeknd has the most albums in the top 20, with three entries. Swift's album "Lover" ranks eighth on the list. The songs chart features hits like Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You," The Neighbourhood's "Sweater Weather," and Harry Styles' "As It Was," alongside The Weeknd's "Starboy" and "Blinding Lights."

While the charts cover 20 years of data, they mainly reflect the most popular music from the late 2010s onwards, coinciding with the rise of streaming as the primary way people listen to music. Notable exceptions include Coldplay's "Yellow," released 26 years ago, and Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' "Die With a Smile," which is less than two years old but already ranks among the top 20 most-streamed songs on Spotify. In addition to music, Spotify also shared charts for audiobooks and podcasts, with titles like "A Court of Thorns and Roses" and "The Joe Rogan Experience" leading the way.
