Major Law Enforcement Operation Targets Mexican Mafia Members in Southern California
Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting a large-scale operation targeting members of the Mexican mafia in Southern California. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli stated that search and arrest warrants are being carried out at 30 locations, primarily in Orange County. The operation has led to the indictment of approximately 40 individuals, with about 10 already in custody. The remaining 30 individuals are being arrested across Southern California, with a focus on Orange County. Teams of law enforcement officers are visiting the homes of these individuals to make the arrests.
