BTS Weekend in El Paso: Celebrating the K-Pop Sensation and Their Impact

El Paso is rolling out the red carpet for BTS even before the group's arrival! County Judge Ricardo A. Samaniego has declared May 2nd and May 3rd as BTS Weekend in El Paso County, a whole weekend dedicated to the K-pop sensation. BTS will also receive the prestigious "Estimado Amigo" Award, the highest honor in the county, recognizing their leadership, innovation, and positive impact. The award is a mini replica of the Lady Justice statue at the El Paso County Courthouse. The official resolution and award presentation will take place during a Commissioners Court meeting on April 27 at 9:30 a.m. at the Enrique Moreno County Courthouse.

This special recognition is in anticipation of BTS's upcoming back-to-back concerts at the UTEP Sun Bowl Stadium on May 2nd and 3rd. BTS, known for their global cultural impact and positive messages in their music, is being celebrated by El Paso for their achievements. The creators of Borapaso, Noah and Nadia Saenz, and the El Paso TX Official ARMY Group will also be acknowledged for their contributions to the fanbase. Fans attending the event can enjoy a BTS-themed photo kiosk, view the official resolution and award, and mingle with fellow fans dressed in purple, the signature color of the BTS fandom symbolizing unity and appreciation.
