A man suspected of committing a sexual assault at a Whole Foods Market in Valencia has been arrested by officials from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. The suspect, identified as Jared Paul Estrada, 28, of Valencia, was apprehended in Orange County based on evidence gathered from security footage, victim testimony, and witness accounts. The incident, which occurred on March 23, involved the suspect exposing himself and committing a sexual battery on the victim while she was shopping at the store. The victim reported feeling shocked and later recounted the disturbing encounter to store officials and law enforcement.

Following the incident, a detective issued a Nixle alert with a photo of the suspect obtained from Whole Foods’ surveillance footage. The community responded by providing valuable information, including the suspect’s identity, date of birth, phone number, vehicle details, and possible residence near a local elementary school. The victim also shared the suspect’s name with detectives, which was further circulated on social media platforms. Additionally, an employee from Doc’s Inn recognized the suspect from the night of the assault and provided footage showing him wearing the same attire as during the incident.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Estrada’s car and home, supported by evidence such as credit card receipts from the evening of the assault, which helped confirm his identity. The investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued, resulting in Estrada’s arrest in Orange County. The swift action taken by law enforcement and the cooperation of the community played a crucial role in apprehending the suspect and seeking justice for the victim.
