Newport Beach Rental Business Scammed in Justin Bieber Impersonation Case: Seeking Justice and Recovery

A rental business in Newport Beach fell victim to a scam where someone impersonated a member of Justin Bieber's team. The scammer requested four electric Mokes to shuttle the pop star to Coachella, but the $20,000 deposit never went through. The cars were tracked heading towards the border and eventually crossed into Tijuana, resulting in a loss of over $200,000 for the business. The owner is hopeful that the cars will be recovered and is seeking information that could lead to an arrest. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case.
