A rental business in Newport Beach fell victim to a scam by an individual pretending to be associated with Justin Bieber's team. The scammer requested four electric Mokes for the pop star's use at Coachella, but the $20,000 deposit did not go through. The vehicles were tracked heading towards the border into Tijuana, resulting in a loss of over $200,000 for the business owner. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, and the owner hopes for the return of the stolen cars.
