Exploring Taylor Swift's The Life of a Showgirl: New Exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum has recently updated the Taylor Swift Education Center display with new artifacts from Taylor Swift's album, The Life of a Showgirl, released in October 2025. These items will be available for viewing by museum visitors until spring 2027 and can be accessed with general museum admission.

The Life of a Showgirl marked Swift's 15th #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart and set a record for solo artists. It quickly became the fastest-selling album in U.S. history, selling over four million album equivalent units in its first week. The album's singles, "The Fate of Ophelia" and "Opalite," both reached #1 on the Hot 100 chart. Globally, the album was the best-selling of 2025, with over 10 million album-equivalent units sold in just two months. The display includes various items such as a custom-designed chainmail dress, a vintage toy piano, and a feathered headpiece worn by Swift in the music videos.

In addition to the artifacts from The Life of a Showgirl era, the display also features Swift's Taylor 655ce 12-string guitar from her Fearless Tour and a Hatch Show Print poster from her first headlining stadium show in 2010. The Taylor Swift Education Center, located within the museum, showcases special artwork from the 2023 U.S. leg of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour and Swift's cap and gown from receiving an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree in 2022.

The Taylor Swift Education Center, a 7,500-square-foot facility within the museum, offers classrooms, interactive galleries, recording experiences, and learning labs. It was established in 2013 through a donation from Swift to the museum's capital campaign. The center hosts various education programs, with over 125,000 individuals participating in 2025. Visitors can create their own friendship bracelet at the center on April 10 between 10 a.m. and noon.

The museum provides free admission for local youth and discounted admission for up to two accompanying adults. This offer is available to residents of Davidson and neighboring counties, including Cheatham, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, and Wilson, with proof of residency required. Explore the museum's rich history of country music and enjoy the special exhibits at the Taylor Swift Education Center.
