Focker In-Law Trailer Premiere Delights CinemaCon Audience

Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro delighted the CinemaCon audience with the debut of the trailer for the upcoming film Focker In-Law. The Universal Pictures sequel to Meet the Parents is set to hit theaters on November 27, featuring familiar faces like Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo, as well as newcomers Ariana Grande and Beanie Feldstein. Stiller humorously noted the 15-year gap between the third and fourth movies, joking about his age compared to De Niro's in the original film.
De Niro joined Stiller on stage, playfully bantering about their roles in the franchise and Grande's involvement in the new movie. The trailer showcased familiar themes from the previous films, including lie detector tests and family dynamics. Directed by John Hamburg, Focker In-Law follows the story of Skyler Gisondo's character getting engaged to a seemingly mismatched partner.
The Meet the Parents franchise has been a box office success, with the first film grossing over $330 million globally and its sequel Meet the Fockers surpassing $522 million worldwide. Director Jay Roach helmed the first two movies, while Paul Weitz directed the third installment, Little Fockers. Hamburg remained tight-lipped about the possibility of another sequel during a recent interview, hinting at ongoing connections with the cast and crew.
CinemaCon, the annual convention for exhibitors and Hollywood studios, provided a platform for the Focker In-Law trailer premiere, generating excitement among attendees. The event, running from April 13-16 this year, serves as a gathering for industry professionals and movie enthusiasts alike.
