Potential Special Forces Mission to Retrieve Iran's Uranium Stockpile: Insights from Nikki Haley

The United States may need to deploy a special forces team to retrieve Iran's uranium stockpile, according to former 2024 GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley. She mentioned that this mission would be a special operation that could take about a week to ten days to complete and emphasized the danger involved. Haley believes that removing Iran's uranium stockpile would significantly weaken the Iranian regime's ability to threaten US allies. President Trump has reportedly considered authorizing a risky operation to retrieve Iran's enriched uranium, which is believed to be buried deep underground. However, Trump has not yet approved this operation and has instead warned Iran that the US is closely monitoring its nuclear sites and will respond if Iran tries to access its stockpiles. Experts estimate that if Iran's uranium stockpiles were fully enriched to 90%, they could produce at least 10 nuclear bombs. Despite running against Trump in the 2024 GOP nomination race, Haley has largely supported the president's military actions against Iran. She stated that she is not considering a presidential run in 2028 and believes it is premature to discuss whom she may endorse in the future.
