Unidentified Woman Struck by Lightning in Superior: Boulder County Sheriff's Office Seeks Information

A woman in critical condition after being struck by lightning on a walking path in Superior is being sought by the Boulder County Sheriff's Office. The incident occurred on the 1000 block of Lasalle Street, where bystanders found the victim under a tree that had been hit by lightning. Despite initial CPR efforts, the woman was unresponsive and had no pulse when deputies arrived. She was transported to a Boulder County hospital and later airlifted to a Denver metro area hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

The woman's identity is currently unknown as she was not carrying any identification, and her cell phone was damaged by the lightning strike. Efforts to identify her through fingerprinting and missing persons reports have been unsuccessful. Described as a 20 to 30-year-old white woman with red or auburn-colored hair, standing about 5’5” tall and weighing 120 pounds, she was wearing a green running shirt and black striped running shorts at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information about the woman's identity is urged to contact the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office at 303-441-4444.
