Rapper Gucci Mane Reportedly Robbed and Kidnapped by Pooh Shiesty and Big30: DOJ Investigation Unveils Shocking Details

Rapper Gucci Mane, also known as Radric Delantic Davis, was reportedly robbed and kidnapped by fellow rappers Pooh Shiesty and Big30 in Dallas, as per the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The DOJ revealed that a total of nine individuals, including the mentioned rappers, were involved in the armed robbery and kidnapping of multiple victims at a music studio in Dallas. Eight of the suspects were apprehended in Dallas, Memphis, and Nashville on Wednesday following the incident.
According to the DOJ, the incident unfolded when three music industry professionals traveled to Dallas for a meeting arranged by Pooh Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Denell Williams Jr. The meeting was supposedly intended to discuss the terms of a recording contract with one of the victims. Pooh Shiesty, known for hits like "Back in Blood," had previously been signed to Gucci Mane's 1017 label before facing legal troubles.
During the meeting at the music studio, Williams Jr. and his accomplices, some of whom had traveled from Memphis, carried out an armed takeover. Williams Jr. brandished an AK-style pistol and coerced one victim at gunpoint to sign a release from the recording contract. The other victims were robbed of valuable items such as Rolex watches, jewelry, and cash by the remaining co-conspirators, who also brandished firearms. One victim was reportedly choked to the brink of unconsciousness during the ordeal, while Big30 blocked the exit to prevent their escape.
Following the incident, the FBI conducted a search at Pooh Shiesty's residence in the Memphis area. Williams Jr., who had been released from jail in October 2025 after serving time for a gun-related offense in Miami, was on home detention at the time of the robbery and kidnapping. The DOJ also alleged that Williams Jr.'s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., was involved in planning and executing the kidnapping. Several suspects in the case reportedly flaunted the stolen items on social media shortly after the crime.
