Upcoming Buc-ee's Locations: A Look at the Expansion Plans
The latest Buc-ee's travel center is about to open soon, with many more locations in the pipeline. Ohio will welcome its first Buc-ee's in Huber Heights on April 6. Following this, Arizona will see its inaugural Buc-ee's in Goodyear on June 22, and Texas will have a new store in San Marcos on July 27. Benton, Arkansas, is expected to open its Buc-ee's in August or September. Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is also set to open a Buc-ee's later this year.
Georgia's Monroe County is preparing for a Buc-ee's opening in March 2027, while Wisconsin's Oak Creek will see its first Buc-ee's in April 2027. Louisiana's Ruston and Tennessee's Gallaway are aiming for mid-2027 openings. North Carolina's Mebane is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027. Kansas City, Lafayette, St. Lucie, and Tallahassee are also on track for 2027 openings.
Oak Grove, Kentucky, may see delays in its Buc-ee's opening, possibly not until 2027 or later. Ocala, Florida, is gearing up for a 2028 opening. Arkansas's Fayette County and West Memphis are facing delays, with projected opening dates in 2027 and 2028, respectively. Mansfield, Ohio, could be the site of a second Buc-ee's location.
Boerne, Texas, is still in the process of getting a Buc-ee's location after some concessions were made. Mount Crawford, Virginia, opened a Buc-ee's last summer, while New Kent County's opening may be delayed until 2029 or even December 2031. Hardeeville, South Carolina, is also looking at a potential opening in the same year.
Plans are in place for Buc-ee's locations in Port Charlotte, Florida, and Gretna, Nebraska. Stafford, Virginia, is also in the works for a Buc-ee's, despite some concerns from residents. Palmer Lake, Colorado, will not be getting a Buc-ee's after plans were withdrawn due to public controversy and legal challenges. Discussions for a location in Oklahoma City are ongoing.
Buc-ee's typically takes 18 to 24 months to build a travel center once construction begins.
