Tiger Woods Involved in Car Crash on Jupiter Island: A Look at His Golf Career and Recent Setbacks

Tiger Woods was involved in a car crash on Jupiter Island, Florida, on Friday, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. The rollover crash occurred near Woods' residence, with no serious injuries reported by Martin County Fire Rescue. Woods' manager at Excel Sports did not immediately respond to requests for information.
This incident marks at least the third car crash involving Woods, with the most recent one in February 2021 resulting in severe leg and ankle injuries. Following that crash, Woods struggled to perform well in tournaments, finishing far from the winners. In 2017, Woods was arrested for a DUI charge after being found asleep behind the wheel of his damaged car in south Florida.
Despite his recent setbacks, Woods has an impressive golf career, with 82 wins on the PGA Tour and 15 major championships, including his fifth Masters victory in 2019. He has been recovering from his seventh back surgery and was uncertain about participating in the upcoming Masters tournament in April.
Woods, who is 50 years old, has been actively involved in PGA Tour activities, serving as the chairman of the Future Competition Committee. He also had the opportunity to become the U.S. Ryder Cup captain for the 2027 matches in Ireland, with a decision expected soon from Woods. His dedication to golf and his contributions to the sport have solidified his legacy as one of the greatest golfers of all time.
