Auto Parts Factory Fire in South Korea: 53 Injured, Dozens Missing in Daejeon Incident

A fire at an auto parts factory in South Korea has resulted in 53 people being injured and over a dozen individuals reported missing, according to officials. The incident occurred in the central city of Daejeon early Friday. Nam Deuk-woo, the fire chief of the city's Daedeok district, mentioned that 24 individuals sustained serious injuries. Efforts are underway to locate at least 14 individuals who are believed to have been inside the facility during the fire. The condition of the injured individuals has not been confirmed as life-threatening. The scene was captured on video, showing thick gray smoke emanating from the complex. More than 250 firefighters, police, and emergency personnel, along with about 100 vehicles and equipment, were dispatched to the site.
