MS NOW Announces Major Schedule Overhaul: New Anchors and Program Changes Coming in June

MS NOW has announced a significant schedule overhaul, with new anchors and program changes. Alicia Menendez will anchor in the daytime, Stephanie Ruhle will return to mornings, and Ali Velshi will host The 11th Hour. Luke Russert will join The Weeknight, Jacob Soboroff will take Velshi's former weekend timeslot, and Morning Joe will return to three hours. Ana Cabrera is departing the network. The changes will take effect in June.
MS NOW President Rebecca Kutler stated that employees will have opportunities to shift to new roles as the changes are implemented. The network aims to increase viewership in daytime programming, which has lagged behind primetime hours. Ruhle will launch a new program from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET, while Morning Joe will expand to three hours starting at 6 a.m. ET. A new anchor will be named for the 11 a.m. ET hour, with Menendez taking on the noon to 2 p.m. ET time slot.
Chris Jansing will become chief political reporter, Katy Tur and Nicolle Wallace will retain their time slots, and The Weeknight will air for one hour at 7 p.m. ET throughout the week. All In with Chris Hayes will return to the 8 p.m. ET hour. Velshi will continue as chief data reporter and host of The 11th Hour, while Soboroff will anchor weekends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET. Cabrera announced her departure from MS NOW in a video on social media, expressing her commitment to journalism and seeking new opportunities.
The changes at MS NOW aim to revitalize daytime programming and offer new opportunities for employees.
