Charlie Puth Teams Up with Kenny G for New Song 'Cry' from Upcoming Album Whatever's Clever!

Charlie Puth has teamed up with renowned saxophonist Kenny G for a new song called "Cry." This collaboration is a sneak peek of Puth's upcoming album, Whatever's Clever!, set to be released on March 27. The track, co-written by Puth, Kenny G, and BloodPop®, and produced by Puth and BloodPop®, combines elements of pop and jazz. The recording features additional musicians like Stanley Rudolph, Leddie Garcia, Curt Chamber, and Pastor Funk.

Puth explained that "Cry" delves into the importance of embracing emotions and not shying away from expressing them. He shared the interesting journey that led to working with Kenny G, mentioning how he initially created a solo inspired by Kenny G's style before eventually connecting with the saxophonist. The collaboration came to fruition after Puth sent the demo to Kenny G, who responded positively and contributed his signature sound to the track.
