Fire Breaks Out Near NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade Route in Midtown Manhattan

A significant amount of smoke was visible over midtown Manhattan on Tuesday morning, stemming from a reported fire close to the beginning of the NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade. Authorities were quick to respond to a building near East 43rd Street and Sixth Avenue around 10 a.m. The fire is believed to have started on the roof of a building that is still under construction, possibly ignited by an air conditioning unit. Fortunately, there were no tenants or residents in the building at the time of the incident.
