Help Tasha K Settle Legal Debt with Cardi B: Support Her GoFundMe Campaign Today
Tasha K has recently set up a GoFundMe campaign to seek financial assistance from her supporters. The fundraiser aims to help alleviate the substantial debt she owes to Cardi B following a legal battle that took place in 2019. After a jury ruled in favor of Cardi B in 2022, Tasha was ordered to pay approximately $4 million in damages and legal fees. Despite initially feeling that she should handle the situation independently, Tasha decided to create the fundraiser after receiving encouragement from her followers.
The legal dispute between Tasha and Cardi B involved allegations of slander, defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Tasha faced accusations of spreading false information about Cardi's personal life, including claims related to drug use, sexual behavior, and STDs. In an attempt to reorganize her finances, Tasha filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2023. Earlier this year, she reached an agreement with Cardi to make court-approved payments totaling nearly $1.2 million over a five-year period.
As per the payment plan, Tasha is required to make monthly payments starting at around $176,000 in the first year and escalating to over $318,000 by the fifth year. Despite the ongoing payments, Cardi retains the option to pursue any remaining balance once the five-year period concludes. Tasha emphasized her commitment to fulfilling the court-ordered payments of $20,000 per month from her personal income and expressed her intention to continue doing so regardless of the funds raised through the GoFundMe campaign. She clarified that all donations received will be directly allocated to reducing the outstanding balance with the objective of accelerating the repayment process.
