The Wayne County Sheriff's Office received a report about two of the victims found on a hiking trail, leading to the subsequent discovery of a third victim in a residence in Torrey. Multiple scenes in Torrey and its vicinity are under investigation as law enforcement agencies work to locate the suspect.

The circumstances surrounding the deaths of the three women have not been disclosed yet. The victims' identities have not been released to the public pending notification of their next of kin.
