Guests at President Trump's State of the Union Address: A Diverse Lineup

President Donald Trump's State of the Union address on Tuesday evening is expected to have a diverse group of guests in attendance. Minnesota GOP Rep. Peter Stauber has invited independent journalist David Hoch and YouTuber Nick Shirley. Shirley gained popularity in 2025 for a video where he raised concerns about vacant daycare centers. Democrats have invited survivors of Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier. California Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia invited Annie Farmer, sister of Epstein survivor Maria Farmer. Reps. Ro Khanna and James Walkinshaw also invited survivors Haley Robson and Jess Michaels, respectively. Epstein was convicted of sex trafficking minors in 2019 and died in prison later that year. Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar invited a U.S. citizen from her state who was detained by ICE and Aliya Rahman, whose car was damaged by DHS agents. Some Republican lawmakers are inviting local sheriffs, and Vernon Hills CEO Rick Woldenberg was invited by Illinois Democratic Rep. Brad Schneider. The U.S. men's hockey team, who recently won gold in the Olympics, will be in attendance. First Lady Melania Trump will bring 10-year-old Everest Nevraumont, who attends a school with an AI curriculum, and Sierra Burns, a participant in the Foster Youth to Independence program, as her guests.
