Kaiser Permanente Healthcare Workers End Strike and Return to Work After Four Weeks

Kaiser Permanente healthcare workers in Hawaiʻi and California have decided to end their four-week strike and return to work on Feb. 24. The United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals, who organized the strike, have seen positive progress in negotiations, leading to the decision to end the strike. The strike, which began on Jan. 26, involved a large number of workers, including pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, and nurse anesthetists. The union leaders believe that returning to work is crucial in finalizing a contract and continuing to move forward positively.
