Sagrada Familia Reaches New Heights: Tower of Jesus Christ to Crown Iconic Basilica
Barcelona's iconic Sagrada Familia basilica is set to achieve its full height on Friday, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing construction of this masterpiece by renowned Catalan architect Antoni GaudÃ. The basilica's Tower of Jesus Christ will reach a towering height of 172.5 meters (566 feet) above the city, as a crane carefully lifts the upper arm of a cross to crown the structure. Despite this achievement, the completion of the Sagrada Familia is still a work in progress, with several years of construction ahead.
