Man from Ellesmere Port Admits to Selling Counterfeit Taylor Swift Tickets: A Case of Online Fraud

A man from Ellesmere Port has confessed to selling counterfeit Taylor Swift concert tickets. Jordan Moore admitted to seven counts of fraud by false representation at Chester Crown Court. He defrauded seven victims of over £5,000 between November 2023 and March 2025. Five charges were related to fake Taylor Swift tickets sold on Facebook and Gumtree, while the other two involved fraudulent sales of greyhound equipment. Moore, 32, of Reedville, Smithy Lane, Little Sutton, has been granted bail and will be sentenced on March 27 at Chester Crown Court.
PC Hindley of Cheshire Police expressed satisfaction with Moore's guilty plea, hoping it brings comfort to the victims. The ease of online selling has unfortunately made it simpler for dishonest individuals to deceive others, as seen in this case. Moore knowingly engaged in fraudulent activities, believing he could evade justice. However, thanks to the victims' information and Cheshire Police's investigation, he had no choice but to acknowledge his wrongdoing and face the consequences.
