Originally released in November 2025, the track gained popularity through remixes by David Guetta and James Hype. However, its journey to the summit was marred by controversy surrounding the use of AI-assisted vocal processing in an earlier version of the song. This led to its removal from streaming platforms and a halt in its chart performance. HAVEN., composed of producers Jacob Donaghue and Harrison Walker, clarified that the AI processing was applied to Walker's vocals and not modeled on Jorja Smith, as speculated.
