Border Patrol agents in Laredo, Texas, made a significant discovery when they found nearly $7 million worth of cocaine hidden in a shipment of roses at the World Trade Bridge. The seizure took place on February 10 during a secondary inspection of a truck flagged by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Canine units alerted agents to the presence of drugs, leading to the discovery of 211 packages containing 516.78 pounds of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $6,899,798.
