San Francisco Teachers Union and School District Reach Agreement: Details of the Tentative Deal

The San Francisco teachers union and the school district have reached a tentative agreement, ending a strike that had disrupted school for several days. The agreement, which is for two years, includes fully-funded family healthcare, pay raises, and caseload reduction for special educators. Classified employees and paraeducators will receive raises of 8.5% over two years, while certificate employees will see a salary increase of 5% over two years. Additionally, classified employees will receive an extra floating holiday. Schools in San Francisco will be closed on Friday for a transition day, with classes resuming on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
