Search for Nancy Guthrie: Updates on the Disappearance of Savannah Guthrie's Mother

The search for Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC "Today" show anchor Savannah Guthrie, has entered its 12th day in Tucson, Arizona. The Pima County Sheriff's Department has received nearly 18,000 tips since her disappearance, with the FBI conducting an extensive search along roadways in the Catalina Foothills area near Guthrie's home. A new letter received by TMZ claimed to know the alleged kidnapper's name and demanded a bitcoin payment. A search warrant was executed in Rio Rico, Arizona, and newly-recovered video footage showed a masked individual tampering with the camera at Guthrie's home.

A person of interest was detained and later released in connection with the case, with law enforcement releasing video footage and images from the home. Savannah Guthrie issued a plea for her mother's return, emphasizing the need for help from the community. Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen on January 31 and is believed to have been taken from her home against her will. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the FBI or the Pima County Sheriff's Department, with a reward of up to $50,000 offered for information leading to her recovery or the arrest of those involved.
