Backstreet Boys' Heart-Shaped Pizza: A Slice of Nostalgia from Pizza Hut

Pizza Hut is partnering with Backstreet Boys members Nick Carter and Howie Dorough to introduce the Shape of My Heart-Shaped Pizza, a limited-time offering inspired by the band's hit song. Available until February 22, customers can order the heart-shaped pizza through the Pizza Hut app, online, or in stores, starting at $11.99 for a medium one-topping pizza. To promote the launch, Carter and Dorough star in playful videos that tap into the nostalgia of the '90s and early 2000s boy band era.
The collaboration with the Backstreet Boys comes at a crucial time for Pizza Hut, as the chain has been facing challenges with declining sales. Yum! Brands, the parent company of Pizza Hut, announced plans to close around 250 underperforming locations in the US by mid-2026. In the fourth quarter of 2025, Pizza Hut's same-store sales dropped by 1%, with a 3% decline in the US market. Yum executives are exploring strategic options for Pizza Hut, including the possibility of selling the brand, but have not disclosed specific locations slated for closure.
Despite these challenges, Pizza Hut continues to operate over 6,000 restaurants nationwide, with a significant presence in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions. The Shape of My Heart-Shaped Pizza promotion aims to attract customers during the Valentine's Day season and leverage the nostalgia associated with the Backstreet Boys to drive sales. Enjoy a slice of nostalgia with Pizza Hut's heart-shaped pizza while it lasts!
