Taylor Swift's Opalite Set to Achieve Sixth UK Number 1 Single: Official Chart Update

Taylor Swift is on track to achieve her sixth UK Number 1 single with Opalite, the second single from her album The Life of a Showgirl. The star-studded music video and 7” vinyl release have propelled Opalite to the top of the Official Chart: First Look. The music video features Taylor Swift's fellow couchmates from an episode of The Graham Norton Show, including Domhnall Gleeson, Lewis Capaldi, and Jodie Turner-Smith.

If Opalite maintains its position, it will be the first time any of Taylor Swift's albums have produced two UK Number 1 singles. The Life of a Showgirl's lead single, The Fate of Ophelia, spent seven non-consecutive weeks at the top of the Official Chart in 2025. Sam Fender & Olivia Dean's Rein Me In is also set to reach a new peak at Number 4, while Zara Larsson's Lush Life could climb to Number 5, its highest placement since 2016.
