Charlie Puth to Perform National Anthem at Super Bowl LX: A Historic Moment in New Jersey Music History

Charlie Puth is set to make history as the first New Jersey native to perform the National Anthem at the Super Bowl since Whitney Houston's iconic rendition in 1991. The pop sensation will take the stage at Super Bowl LX on February 8, where the Seattle Seahawks will go head-to-head with the New England Patriots. Puth shared his excitement and nerves about singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" during the Apple Music Halftime Show press conference, emphasizing the song's musical complexity and his approach to the performance.

Despite being a chart-topping artist, Charlie Puth personally requested to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. He submitted a demo of himself singing the tune to Roc Nation, which ultimately led to him being selected for the prestigious opportunity. Puth expressed his dedication to delivering a live vocal performance, ensuring that his singing will not be pre-recorded. He aims to showcase his vocal prowess and hopes to inspire viewers with his rendition of the national anthem.

In addition to his Super Bowl performance, Charlie Puth is gearing up for the release of his fourth studio album, "Whatever's Clever!", scheduled for March 27. The album will feature 12 tracks, including collaborations yet to be announced. Puth will embark on a headlining arena tour, the "Whatever's Clever! World Tour," starting on April 22 in San Diego and concluding on June 13 in Houston. The tour, produced by Live Nation, will feature special guests Daniel Seavey, Lawrence, and Ally Sallort on select dates.

Super Bowl LX will also feature pregame performances by Brandi Carlile singing "America The Beautiful" and Coco Jones performing "Lift Every Voice and Sing." Bad Bunny is set to headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show. The highly anticipated game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, airing on NBC and streaming on Peacock. The pregame festivities will kick off at 1 p.m. EST, with Brandi Carlile's performance leading up to the 6:30 p.m. EST kickoff. Charlie Puth's performance of the National Anthem is expected to be a memorable moment in Super Bowl history.
