The Romania Luxembourg Business Forum (RomLux) hosted its Annual New Year Members Reception at the Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity (LHC) in Luxembourg-Gare. RomLux President Razvan-Petru Radu welcomed guests and Pascal Steichen, CEO of the LHC, presented the agency's mission to position Luxembourg as a resilient player in the digital economy and support businesses in enhancing cybersecurity.

Pascal Steichen outlined the LHC's activities focused on awareness, risk identification, protection mechanisms, and response to cyberattacks, emphasizing the agency's role in helping companies invest wisely and mitigate damage in case of incidents. He also mentioned the LHC's involvement in national strategies related to new technologies and the development of a "cybersecurity factory" for competence building. Additionally, Pascal Steichen serves as the Chair of the Governing Board of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) in Bucharest, aiming to strengthen the EU's cybersecurity capacities.

Romanian Ambassador Alexandrina-Livia Rusu commended the progress in cybersecurity cooperation and highlighted the 115 years of bilateral relations between Romania and Luxembourg. She discussed the upcoming agenda for 2026, focusing on political dialogue, economic cooperation, cybersecurity, support for Moldova's EU path, and cultural initiatives. Ambassador Rusu expressed gratitude to partners and the Romanian community for their involvement in these initiatives.

In his closing remarks, RomLux President Razvan-Petru Radu emphasized the importance of collaboration within Luxembourg's international business community and outlined RomLux's plans for 2026, including events on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, participation in Nexus Luxembourg, the Roude Léiw International Polo Cup, and future innovation missions and an investment forum.
