Meet Tina and Milo: The Mascots of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games will feature Tina the stoat as the official mascot, along with her brother Milo, the Paralympic mascot. These adorable mascots were designed by students from the Istituto Comprensivo of Taverna and represent the Italian spirit that inspires them. They are accompanied by six snowdrop flowers known as "The Flo."

The XXV Winter Olympic Games will be co-hosted by Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo in northern Italy, marking the first time two cities have officially hosted the event. Milan will host the ice events, while other events will be clustered around Cortina and the Valtellina and Fiemme valleys. The two cities are approximately 250 miles apart, a five-hour drive.

Italy previously hosted the Winter Olympics in 1956 in Cortina d'Ampezzo and in 2006 in Turin. The country also hosted the Summer Olympics in Rome in 1960. The first Winter Olympics took place in 1924 in Chamonix, France.

The 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics will run from Feb. 6 to Feb. 22, with 116 events in eight sports and 16 disciplines, including alpine skiing, figure skating, ice hockey, and the debut of ski mountaineering. The Paralympics will follow from March 6 to March 15.

The opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics will be broadcast in the U.S. on NBC and streamed on Peacock and NBCOlympics.com at 2 p.m. ET. The ceremony is expected to last about three hours, with an enhanced encore presentation on NBC at 8 p.m. ET.
